CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE ON YOUR ONE YEAR IN OFFICE AND ON THE CELEBRATION OF WORLD CIVIL DEFENCE DAY 2022
I write on behalf of the entire Officers and Men of NSCDC Anambra State Command, to warmly and heartily congratulate a leader by example, an altruistic personality, a versatile administrator, an intellectual of a rare breed, on the occasion of your one year in office as the Commandant General of NSCDC and the occasion of 2022 World Civil Defence Day Celebration.
Sir, as we celebrate the great role played by the civil defence and civil protection agencies, to preserve human safety from the dangers of disasters of any kind, and to strengthen the means of prevention and the foundations of public safety, we equally appreciate your achievements as the Commandant General of NSCDC.
Within the last one year Sir, you have shown to the world the highest professionalism and clearly demonstrated that leadership is not in age, but in experience encapsulated in strategically defined vision, well-directed proactiveness and collectivity.
Your leadership gift is further reflected in your tireless devotion to strategically repositioning the Corps to stepping into the gap for a better secured Nigeria, embarking on transformational programmes and reforms to rejig, revamp, reactive, restructure and reposition the Corps towards making its operations more effective and highly efficient, the establishment of women Corps , provision of enabling environment for corps to thrive by ensuring that what is due for officers and men are giving to them, inauguration of the curriculum development committee to develop a standard curriculum to aid NSCDC Training, correction of irregularities around promotion and posting of Officers and Men, in your pragmatic management of issues and in your amazing deployment of intelligence to solve knotty problems.
The results are there visibly in the sense of discipline restored among officers and men , in the multiple physical infrastructures initiated , in our efforts at combating insecurity and pipeline vandalism, in the restructuring and reorganization of NSCDC to compete favorably with their counterparts all over the world and in the overall enhancement of the corporate image of the Corps.
Sir, with these in just one year , and many more to come, it is obvious that you have your place in history as one of the best things that have happened to NSCDC .
I earnestly and sincerely pray to God to grant you more wisdom and good health for more historic successes in the years ahead.
