The Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN) has celebrated and commemorated World Pest Day 2024, with the theme “Global Solutions, Local Impact: Mapping Success in Pest Management,” National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

World Pest Day, an annual event established in 2017, serves as a platform to raise awareness about the importance of pest control and the contributions of the pest management industry in safeguarding public health, protecting food supplies, and preserving the integrity of structures and infrastructure.

This year’s theme, “Global Solutions, Local Impact: Mapping Success in Pest Management,” resonates strongly with PECAN’s unwavering dedication to implementing tailored solutions that cater to the pest challenges of various Nigerian communities.
According to PCO Olakunle Williams, PECAN National President said; Over the years, the Pest Control Association of Nigeria (PECAN), which is the association of professional Pest Control practitioners, has dedicated to promoting excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the pest management industry across Nigeria, has been at the forefront of the pest management industry in Nigeria, working tirelessly to address the diverse pest-related issues that our nation faces.

By leveraging global best practices and adapting them to our local contexts, we have achieved significant progress in protecting the health, well-being, and livelihoods of all Nigerians.

PECAN’S COMMITMENT TO PEST MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE:

  1. COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAMMES:
    PECAN has invested heavily in developing comprehensive training and certification programmes for pest control operators and technicians across Nigeria.
