Lagos State Police Command has arrested and arraigned the prime suspect of the distribution of kegs of petrol as souvenirs at an event center during a chieftency title party in Lagos.
The Lagos state police command gave the suspect name as Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl.
The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu in a statement released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP and made available to Gwamcee news said the event took place at Havilah Events Centre, Victoria Island on 4th March, 2022.
According to Ajisebutu, The suspect, Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl, was arraigned on a four-count charge of conduct likely to cause breach of peace, endangering human life by distributing combustible matter in a public gathering, intent to do harm to another and unlawfully carrying on the business of storage and containerising petroleum product without a permit.
Ogbulu was arraigned on the 14th March, 2022 at the Special Offences (Mobile) Court of Lagos State in the Ikeja Magisterial District, Oshodi.
In regards to this, the Commissioner of Police however warned citizens against acts capable of endangering human lives and also reiterated the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
Also, it is on record that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, had ordered the arrest of the suspect who was then at large.
