NSCDC boss, Audi reaffirms commitment to protecting critical assets at NAOSNP conference

…As CG bags award of Excellence

The need to re-emphasize the significant points in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure of our dear country, Nigeria, took a relevant section at the National Security Conference and Awards 2025 organized by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) at the Ballroom Hall of the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Tuesday, 21st October, 2025.

The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR, was ably represented at this year’s NAOSNP’s National Security Conference and Awards by Mr Keshinro Adedotun, the Lagos State Commandant.

With this year’s theme; “Securing and Safeguarding Nigeria’s Economic Resources : A Call To Serve,” the NSCDC Lagos State Commandant, Mr Keshinro Adedotun, who represented the Commandant General during the panel session at the event affirmed that the conference has remained in the forefront of shaping security discourse for the repositioning of the Nigerian security architecture in a bid to resolve the raging conundrums raising their ugly heads as against the successes that have already been wholesomely made by security services to securing the nation .

He also seized the opportunity to make a public call on the good people of the nation to support the Corps in the collective and selfless fight against vandalism of CNAI and other economic resources in the country. He noted that the Government is doing its best to suppress corruption in the system and invest more on diversification of the economy.

The Commandant General, NSCDC, Prof., Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR, today, Tuesday, bagged the NAOSNP 2025 Award of Excellence for his All of people approach to the protection of CNAI and resolution of conflicts, suppressing threats and safeguarding the nation’s economic resources.

Dignitaries at the NAOSNP National Security Conference and Awards 2025 includes; Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam represented by the Director of Public Affairs, MPA, Mr. Bolaji Kazeem; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa who was represented by Commandant of Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, Air Vice Marshal, AVM Bashir R Mamman; Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 2, AIG Adegoke Fayoade who is also representing IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun; Corps Marshal of FRSC, Mallam Shehu Mohammed represented by the Lagos Sector Commander, CC Kehinde Hamzat; Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan represented by the Chairman of POCACOV Lagos, Dr. Moses Oladimeji; Executive Chairman of EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede represented by the Head of Public Affairs, lagos EFCC, DCE Ayo Oyewole; Chairman of ICPC, Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu SAN represented by the Lagos State Commissioner, ICPC, Mr Chukwurah Alexander; Commander, Enugu State Forest Guard, Dr. DCP Akinbayo Olasoji; Commander of Ondo State Security Network (Amotekun), Amb.
