In a heartfelt tribute to a life well-lived, the President of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), Oki Samson is honoring the memory of his mother, a truly remarkable woman, Madam Aramide Nusirat Oki who passed away at the age of 63. The mother of four, a leading entrepreneur, and a beacon of love for humanity passed away on Saturday 12th August 2023 leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Late Madam Aramide Nusirat Oki (née Thomas) was born on 7th July 1960 to the family of Pa Mustapha and Madam Fatimota in Lagos Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
She attended Ansarudeen Primary School in Lagos Island and St. Timothy College, Yaba, Lagos.
She got married to late Evangelist Ayila N. Oki before delving into trade and commerce full-time where she attained fame and fortune.
The industrialist, Madam Oki made an indelible mark in the business space as a top distributor in the Victoria Island axis of Lagos. She is one of the top distributors of assorted soft drinks, eggs, and other items to several embassies, restaurants, hotels, and others within Victoria Island. Her innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering work ethic, and ability to inspire those around her set her apart as a true leader and role model in the business community.
She actively nurtured her 4 boys (Godwin, Daniel, Samson and Samuel) – now men – to the glory of God alongside her husband with the needed parental support, care and Godly way. As a mother, her nurturing spirit was evident in the strong bonds she cultivated with her four children, who now proudly carry forward her legacy. Her commitment to family values and unwavering support served as a foundation upon which her boys thrived into men who now embody her kindness, strength, and resilience.

As friends, family, and well-wishers gather to celebrate the memory of the late mother, the NAOSNP President Oki Samson revealed the funeral arrangement. ‘The Christian Wake and Service of Songs holds on 6th September at her residence in Ketu. The funeral service will hold on 7th September at the same venue by 10am today. Kindly join us as we bid farewell to a beloved mother.’
