LSSTF supports NCCSALW South West with strategic donation of operational vehicle

• Zonal Director, CP Alamutu lauds funding agency’s timely intervention 

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has extended its support to the National Centre for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), South West Zone, as part of efforts to strengthen national security coordination and control of illicit arms, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The donation was presented by the Director of Administration, LSSTF, Mr. Degbola Lewis, on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan. It was formally received by the Zonal Director, NCCSALW South West, CP Abiodun Alamutu (rtd), at a brief handover ceremony at the funding agency’s office in Alausa Ikeja.

Accompanying the Zonal Director were members of the management team, including ACP Ibrahim Akinniyi and Major Dasi Obanla, Assistant Directors of the Centre. The engagement provided an opportunity to reaffirm collaboration between LSSTF and federal security institutions operating within Lagos and the wider South West region.

Mr. Lewis reiterated LSSTF’s commitment to supporting agencies whose work directly impacts internal security and public safety. CP Alamutu expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a momentous and timely initiative which will be supportive of the Centre’s critical mandate.

The National Centre for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), is responsible for coordinating national efforts to prevent, combat, and eradicate the proliferation of illicit small arms and light weapons, including policy formulation, arms control enforcement, research, and inter-agency collaboration to enhance national and regional security.
