As Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, the Executive Secretary/CEO of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, today rejoices with Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the 2026 Eid Mubarak. The event marks the end of 30 days of fasting, devotion, sacrifice, and self-reflection, in the Islamic calendar.
In his felicitations, Dr. Ogunsan hailed Muslims for their faithful commitment and devotion to the esteemed beliefs and values espoused during the holy month, which emphasise piety, empathy, and unity among humanity.
He prayed for Muslims that “their good deeds and sacrifices will be abundantly rewarded, and that the blessings of Ramadan will continue to strengthen our homes, communities, state and nation. I wish you all a Blessed Eid!”
Meanwhile, Dr. Ogunsan calls on all Muslim faithful to extend a hand of kindness to the needy, donate to LSSTF, to further show unity and commitment to the state security architecture.
It is noteworthy that the Year 2026 is markedly different as it sees the observance of the Christians’ Lent and the Muslims’ Ramadan fasting seasons commence on the same day 18th February 2026, in a situation which is very rare and calls for unity and harmony across the world.
