Resplendent joy, resonating sound, reverberating songs were the hallmarks of the 3rd annual Gospel Hymns and Songs birthday Concert in celebration of Dr. Ayo Ogunsan’s birthday on 8th October 2023.

The birthday man was gaily dressed in Agbada to grace the occasion of his 3rd birthday with the Minister of in the marketplace seen rejoicing in the presence of God with him as he joins his family, friends and well wishes to celebrate the faithfulness of God in his life.

‘I long to go deeper in love with you’, a song composed by legendary gospel artiste, Don Moen fittingly described the new year mood for the celebrant, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan as he recalled the spiritual teachers and physical teachers who have inspired his life. Committed to the worship of the Lord, the Chairman of Executive Group and Board member of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan took other hymns and songs in appreciation of the Lord Almighty for his life.
The 3rd Gospel Hymns and Songs birthday concert also had many church choirs, community choirs, musical groups, and individuals in wonderful renditions of God’s praise.
A leader among the pack is the Musical House of Ogunsan. The family is uniquely graced in that every member of the family has the amazing ability to sing. It is an uncommon Grace for the Ogunsan’s led by Dr. Ayo and Dr. Mrs. Ajoke Ogunsan accompanied by their three daughters – Seun, Joy, and Mercy – as they sang I get backing, You waited among other songs.
In his brief exhortation, Pst. Emeka Izeze charged everyone to give thanks. He noted that there are more than enough reasons to complain and that many times we focus on what we don’t have forgetting those that we have. This is the attitude that doesn’t make us give thanks.
Meanwhile, the acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has affirmed that the name of Jesus has brought him thus far in life. Taking a retrospect of his life at the 3rd annual Gospel Hymns and Birthday Concert of Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, he cited that the latest promotion he got as the IGP was by the Grace of God.
Egbetokun noted that he was watching the TV at his friend’s house when he saw his name on the breaking news as the acting Inspector-General of Police.
His words, ‘All through my life, I can see the grace of God and the hand of Jesus. I was in the house of my friend watching TV when I saw the breaking news that I have been made Ag. IGP. Jesus got involved that’s why I was named IGP, it is not because the President is my mentor.’
IGP Egbetokun then thanked the celebrant, Ayo Ogunsan, ‘Thank you Dr. Ogunsan. Just the mention of God’s name of Jesus, we have everything. I am a testimony of that.’
