LSSTF appoints Moses Oladimeji as State Coordinator for Campaign Against Crime, Cultism and Other Vices

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has announced the appointment of Dr. Moses Oladimeji as the State Coordinator of its newly launched Campaign Against Crime, Cultism and Other Vices (LSSTF-CACCOV).

His appointment comes alongside that of 6 others who will support in various areas for the smooth running of the Committee. This is a significant step in advancing the Fund’s community-driven approach to crime prevention across Lagos State.

According to the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, the initiative requires strong leadership capable of driving advocacy, strengthening community structures, and engaging young people at the grassroots.

He noted that Dr. Oladimeji will oversee statewide activities including school outreach programmes, community walks, mentorship engagements and partnership-building with traditional institutions, faith-based groups, youth organizations, and civil society.

Ogunsan reiterated that LSSTF-CACCOV is designed to complement law enforcement which is handled by various agencies, stressing that long-term peace depends on preventive measures that address the root causes of crime, including cultism, drug abuse and youth violence. “Cultism, drug abuse, youth violence, and other social vices do not emerge in isolation; they thrive where there is misinformation, lack of guidance, weak community structure, and limited positive engagement for young people,” he said.

The new Coordinator is expected to drive strategic advocacy that reduces the appeal and recruitment into cult groups, while promoting behavioral reorientation among young people.

The Fund called on parents, educators, community leaders and the media to support Oladimeji’s efforts as LSSTF-CACCOV begins full implementation across Lagos.

Other members of the 7-man LSSTF-CACCOV  committee include: Uzezi Akinwoleola as Assistant State Coordinator/General Secretary; Nathaniel Olugbogi as Head, Digital Communication, Strategy and Technology; Prominence Promise as Head, Human Resources and Training; Joseph Akinwoleola as Head, Education, Advocacy and Empowerment; Taiwo Idris as Head, Media, Press and Public Relations and Mesole  Emmanuel as Head, Community Outreach and Programs.
