Lagos CP Jimoh decorates newly promoted senior officers  


 
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, has decorated a batch of newly promoted senior police officers within the Lagos Command.


In a press statement made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Adebisi Abimbola stated that, “The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated a new batch of newly promoted officers, reaffirming the steadfast commitment of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to merit-based advancement within the Nigeria Police Force.”


According to the statement, “CP Olohundare commended the Police Service Commission (PSC) for its consistent adherence to a transparent and credible promotion process, which facilitated the elevation of officers from Superintendent of Police (SP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), as well as the confirmation of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).”


“The decoration ceremony, attended by senior management officers and family members of the newly promoted personnel, featured the Commissioner of Police conveying the IGP’s goodwill message. He emphasised that each promotion symbolizes renewed trust, responsibility, and higher expectations, urging the beneficiaries to demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and a deepened commitment to public service.”


“Amongst the beneficiaries are CSP Agba Anna, DPO Ajao Estate Division; CSP Jacob Gana Jiya, DPO Ilemba-Hausa Division; CSP Hadiza Jidda, DPO Ogombo Division; CSP Amoda Fatai, DCO Ikeja Division; CSP Udomfiok Emmanuel, 2ic Gender; CSP Aroloye Bamikole; DPO Agbowa Division; CSP Momoh Kamaldeen, DPO Apapa Division.”


“In their remarks, the newly promoted officers expressed profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police for acknowledging their dedication and to the Police Service Commission for validating their progression. They pledged to uphold the core values of the Force, exhibit exemplary leadership, and apply their enhanced capacities more strategically in the service of Lagos State.”


“In conclusion, CP Olohundare Jimoh reaffirmed his determination to sustain a Command anchored on discipline, professionalism, and purposeful policing. He charged the officers to justify their elevation through consistent excellence and by contributing meaningfully to the continued peace and security of Lagos State.”
