The Lagos State Commissioner for Police, Olohundare Moshood Jimoh has commended National Association of Online Security News Publishers NAOSNP on its one day walk against cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime to commorate their a week log event.

The CP who made this commendation on Wednesday at the Lagos State Police Command while flagging off the NAOSNP walk against drug abuse, cultism and domestic violence as part of events marking the 2025 NAOSNP week said it is a welcome development. According to him, trooping out to walk towards securing and enlightening the people against cultism and drug abuse, cybercrime is a welcome development because it’s all for the public interest and we urged others to do the same.”

He used the occasion to warn those engaged in crime to stay off it because Lagos is not a safe place for them.

He commended the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support, especially, regarding logistics. And also to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun for his support in ensuring that they are up in what they do.

He called for more collaboration of all security stakeholders in ensuring they walk in the same page.
Ahead of the festive season and Ember months as believed more crimes occurs due this time, he said there is adequate security in Lagos. “There is adequate preparation. We have made plans and have our strategies. We have the responsibility of seeing that the entire territory of Lagos are safe.”
He told those coming for Christmas to see their loved ones or those living in Lagos not to exhibit fear because enough security have been provided for them to enjoy with their families.
He urged citizen to trust them. This he said is to be able to police their affairs.

Also, the president of the association, Samson Oki, thanked the CP for his support and assured him of the association’s commitment to give their best in covering all their events.
