Kano State Police Command recovers seven stolen vehicles, arrests suspects

The Kano State Police Command has recovered seven stolen vehicles and arrested several suspects in a series of successful operations aimed at combating vehicle theft and related crimes including armed robbery, in the State.

In a statement by the police public relations officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, ANIPR, MNISMA, FNACSP on Monday, said this was achieved through the Command’s Special Intervention Squad (SIS), on the direction of the Command CP, who worked tirelessly to track down stolen vehicles and apprehend suspects.

Notable recoveries include a Toyota RAV4, Peugeot 406, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Yaris, a truck, White Toyota Matrix, and a White Forland truck.

In connection with these recoveries, several suspects have been arrested, including those involved in armed robbery. The suspects are currently helping investigation and will be brought to justice.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, commended the police officers for their dedication and professionalism in tackling crimes in the State. He also appreciated the good people of Kano State for their prayers, support, encouragement, and cooperation.

The Kano State Police Command remains committed to fighting crimes and ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the State.

  1. Toyota RAV4 (ash in color)
  2. Peugeot 406 (red in color)
  3. Toyota Corolla (black in color)
  4. Toyota Yaris (Gombe 121 AH)
  5. Truck (without body)
  6. White Toyota Matrix
  7. White Forland truck (GAK 701 XA)

The Kano State Police Command urged citizens to continue to support the police in their efforts to maintain peace and security in the State.
