Gaidam, Egbetokun, Mohammed, Audi, Ogunsan, others headline NAOSNP National Security Conference today

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) has concluded plans to host the 2025 edition of its National Security Conference and Awards as part of its NAOSNP Week, which started on October 15 with a Sensitization walk in Lagos.

The National Security Conference and Awards, which is the day 4 activity of the week, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 21, at the Ballroom of the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, with the theme, Securing and Safeguarding Nigeria’s Economic Resources: A Call to Serve.

Among special guests expected to the grace the August occasion are the Governor of Borno State, Prof Babagana Zulum; Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam; the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun; Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Dele Alake, Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed; Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi; Board Member, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Mr Ayo Ogunsan; Special Adviser (Legal) to the Senate President, Barr Monday Ubani; General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, Pastor Daniel Olukoya among a host of others.

The event, which is billed to kickoff at 10am prompt, will feature diverse lectures, panel sessions and awards of honours to deserving members of the public including the NAOSNP Man of the Year award.

Now in its 5th edition, the NAOSNP National Security Conference and Awards has remained in the forefront of shaping security discourse for the repositioning of the Nigerian Security apparachniks, in preparation to launch forward through intelligence towards tackling and arresting every challenge.

In his charge, the president of the Association, Mr. Oki Samson, noted that the 2025 edition has been streamlined and fine tuned to suit the present narrative of Nigeria’s security challenge, noting that the derivable communique will go a long way to assisting “Our state actors to continue providing the much needed security and safety for the betterment of the country’s economic resources”.
