• Intensify evening enforcement operations
In line with its unwavering commitment to road safety and crash reduction, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command, on Wednesday, 6th August 2025, continued its Week 2 Special Intervention Evening Enforcement against the menace of vehicle overloading across the state, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
The operation, which targeted commercial vehicles dangerously overloaded with passengers and goods, led to the impoundment of several vehicles found in violation of loading regulations. All impounded vehicles were compelled to offload excess goods and pay prescribed fines before release.

FSLD – Failure to fix speed limit device: 03
DLV – Drivers license Violation.: 01 - LSV (Light Sign Violation): 03
- NPV (Number Plate Violation): 01
The Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos Sector Command reiterated its zero tolerance stance against overloading, stressing that such reckless behavior endangers lives, damages road infrastructure, and undermines public safety efforts.
To reinforce enforcement strength, the FRSC Lagos Sector Command secured the full support of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other sister agencies, who have collectively pledged to join forces in stamping out this life-threatening practice on Lagos highways.
Speaking on the operation, the Sector Commander, CC Kehinde G. Hamzat, warned motorists and commercial vehicle operators to prioritize safety over profit and comply with all road safety standards or be prepared to face the full weight of the law.
The FRSC will sustain and expand this operation across major corridors in the state, especially during high-traffic periods, to protect lives and prevent avoidable road traffic crashes.
