The Federal Road Safety Corps Lagos Sector Command, (FRSC) has felicitated with Muslims faithful’s on the successful completions of the fast.
The Lagos Corps commander, Farinloye while wishing the Muslims faithful’s a happy Eid-El-Fitril celebration charged drivers to be safety conscious by avoiding drink, speeding, and use of mobile phone while driving during this festive season
Similarly, FRSC in a joint patrol with the Nigeria Police RRS Squad and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps arrested 25 vehicles within Lagos metropolis on Wednesday.
Farinloye, in a release e-signed by Superintendent Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi anipr, FRSC Public Education Officer on Thursday said, the owners of vehicles apprehended were arraigned with various offences from Speed Limit violations, Number plate violation (faded), Vehicle licence violation among others.
According to him, the defaulters were arraigned at Mobile Court sitting at Ojota in the state.
“The joint operation was as a fall out of agreement reached by the Corps and heads of security agencies to ensure safety of lives and properties of the motoring public during and after the sallah period,” he said.
The Sector Commander however, promised that such joint enforcement would be sustained.
