DIG Lakanu (Rdt) oversees police recruitment screening exercise, commends CP Jimoh’s proactiveness in security

Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olorundare Moshood Jimoh on Tuesday received the Chairman of Committee on All Police Matters and Commissioner Representing the South-West at the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG (Bar) Taiwo Lakanu (Rtd), during his courtesy visit to the Command headquarters in Ikeja.

In a statement released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi stated that the distinguished visitor was accompanied by the AIG Omolara Oloruntola, psc, the Commandant, Police College Ikeja, and Hon. Abdulwasiu Kayode Bawa-Allah, Hon Commissioner representing Lagos State at the Federal Character Commission.

According to the statement, “Speaking during the visit, DIG Taiwo Lakanu stated that his presence in Lagos was part of his supervisory responsibilities over the ongoing Police recruitment screening exercise in the State.

“He commended the Commissioner of Police and the Command for their proactive and effective approach towards ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across Lagos State. He further charged members of the screening committee to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, emphasising the importance of fairness and transparency throughout the exercise.”

“In his response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, expressed profound appreciation to the DIG for the visit and commendation, and reassured him of the Command’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Police Service Commission and ensuring a credible and hitch-free recruitment exercise.”
