Nigerian model and media personality, Denrele Edun, has opened up on his love life, saying that he has been unlucky with love.
Nollywood actor, model, and socialite Denrele Edun has revealed that he has been unlucky in love, stressing that his partners often fail to reciprocate his gestures.
He made this known while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of The Moraya Show.
Speaking candidly about his sexuality and love life during the interview, Edun said: “I have not really been lucky with love. People like us, who have so much love to give to the world, don’t really get it back in return.
“So, I have found it in different people and places, and I have realised that I should just love myself at this point. All my special attachments did not turn out the way I would have liked them to. I have just realised that it is better if I love myself.”
He went on to insist that he is not the cause of his relationship misfortunes, adding that he is the easiest person to love.
“I am the easiest person to love. I have so much love to give,” Edun said.
He added: “Recently, I was in a relationship with someone and I realised that once I make an effort, people make excuses. That is what has been happening in my love life all this while. While I am providing clarity, they are giving me confusion. I show commitment and they do not reciprocate. So, I realised that this was just a matter of convenience for the other person.”
While clarifying his sexuality, the movie star also revealed that he has had “the best of both worlds”.
