C&S Church leader, Abiodun Alogbo greets Nigerians at Easter, seeks pursuit of peaceful co-existence

Supreme Head of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence Prophet (Dr.) Abiodun Adewale Alogbo, has rejoiced with members of the church worldwide and particularly Christians across the world on the occasion of of this year’s Easter celebration, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In a statement issued by Secretary General of the Church, Snr. Apostle Tayo Ajose, and made available to the media, Prophet Alogbo urged them to emulate the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, for mankind.

He said the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humanity is a lesson for Nigerian leaders and all citizens, irrespective of religious beliefs, to yield to selflessness and compassion and be steadfast in the pursuit of a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.

Said he, “We are at a period in the nation’s history where we, as citizens, need to cherish leaving together in peaceful co-existence and tolerance as Our Saviour admonished us to do.

“If we draw the right lessons from the death of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection, we become more confident as we battle terrorism and banditry and all other trials that today test our faith.

“My belief is that this is a passing phase for Nigeria and the entire world and that our faith is a potent spiritual weapon for the pursuit of victory.

“In that light, we should not allow the frightening reports from across the country to discourage us or weaken our hope. Rather, such reports should remind us of the Divine mercy under which we live, and strengthen our determination to overcome these vicissitudes”.

Prophet Alogbo, therefore, called on all Nigerians to eschew violence and conducts that are capable of bringing division in the country, but to continue to be fervent in their prayers for the growth and emancipation of the country.
