Bambam, Teddy A spark split rumours after Instagram unfollow

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) couple Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, and Bamike Adenibuyan, aka Bambam, have stirred speculation about a possible marital crisis after reportedly unfollowing each other on Instagram.

The development has added fuel to lingering rumours that their five-year marriage may be facing challenges.

The couple met during the 2018 edition of BBNaija and later walked down the aisle in Dubai in 2019.

Speculation about a possible feud between the duo first surfaced in December 2025, when both reality stars shared separate Christmas photoshoots—a move that triggered online conversations about “trouble in paradise”.

While neither Teddy A nor Bambam has publicly addressed the latest development, their Instagram activity has placed the relationship under renewed public scrutiny.

Describing how their romance began in an interview in August 2019, Bambam said: “It started as a game. I didn’t even know it would become something serious. It wasn’t part of my plan to fall in love in the house, but I guess everything happened according to fate.”

Over the years, the celebrity couple has built a brand around their love story, often sharing family moments with their children and collaborating on projects, earning them admiration as one of BBNaija’s most celebrated couples.

However, Teddy A recently responded to past domestic abuse allegations, describing them as false and deeply distressing.

“When they said I was beating my wife, that was a lot,” he said. “I woke up, went downstairs, and my wife was there; she was watching a movie, she was pregnant, and laughing. Then I checked my phone and saw my notifications going off. I was like, I didn’t drop any content that’s trending, what’s going on? As I went through the comments, my wife became very emotional and kept asking who did this.”

He continued: “I called my manager to ask what we should do, and he told me not to fuel the fire and just let it go. At the time, I didn’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my reputation. Even when my wife and I post ourselves, people still comment and ask if I’m sure I don’t beat my wife. Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true.”

While speculation about the state of their marriage continues, fans remain hopeful, with many praying that the “unfollowing” is merely a misunderstanding rather than a sign of a deeper rift.
