On the auspicious occasion of the 74th birthday of Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, offers not just felicitations, but a deeply reflective tribute to a excellent statesman whose leadership has reshaped the contours of Nigeria’s economic, governance and security architecture.
This is more than a celebration of years; it is an acknowledgment of courage, conviction, and the enduring weight of reform, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.
Dr. Ogunsan extol the President’s defining decision to remove the long-standing fuel subsidy, which he described as “an act of uncommon political will that dismantled a decades-old fiscal burden and redirected national focus toward sustainability and accountability”. In the same breath, he commended the unification of the foreign exchange system, describing it as a necessary recalibration that has restored transparency and strengthened investor confidence in Nigeria’s financial ecosystem. He further highlighted the administration’s strides in fiscal consolidation, noting the significant rise in national revenues and the narrowing of the fiscal deficit which are clear indicators, in his view, of disciplined economic stewardship.
For Dr. Ogunsan, these are not abstract statistics, but tangible proofs of a government willing to make difficult choices today to secure a more stable tomorrow. Yet, beyond the numbers, Dr. Ogunsan is particularly moved by the administration’s commitment to social balance. He acknowledges the targeted social investment programmes that have provided relief to vulnerable Nigerians, affirming that true leadership must marry reform with compassion, and policy with people.
These measures have been well praised by multilateral institutions and have earned him respect by international governments. His global significance has been signposted by his recent special state visits to the United Kingdom and Turkey, among others.
LSSTF’s boss, Dr. Ogunsan is particularly enamored by the sterling credentials and commended the President for his creative leadership. Describing him as a “leader that keeps producing leaders”, Tinubu has mentored kings and security experts, lawmakers, speakers, senate Presidents, Governors, business moguls and entrepreneurs.
As a senator, he raised uncountable other senators, he even raised Senate Presidents and Speakers of the House of Representatives. As a Governor, he has reproduced other Governors from Lagos and throughout Nigeria. Before he became President, he raised a President, and he will reproduce others. “He has reproduced in others all the things that he has personally achieved,” Ogunsan said.
On this 74th birthday, Ogunsan salutes Pres. Tinubu whose life’s work continues to inspire confidence, command respect, and rekindle hope for a stronger, more secured and resilient Nigeria. President Tinubu is not merely a leader of the moment, but an architect of national renewal.
